Oregon-Howell RIII Providing FREE Meals for Children


The Oregon-Howell RIII School District has applied with the MDOH to provide free meals to children from age 1 to 18 beginning May 24, 2021 and concluding June 17, 2021.  Meals will be provided without regard to race, color, nation origin, gender, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital or family status.  Meals are available to ALL children, whether they attend summer school or not.  

To file a complaint of discrimination, write USDA, Director, Office of Civil Rights, Room 326-W, Whitten Building, 14th and Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC  20250-9410.


Site location is the Oregon-Howell R-III School cafeteria.  See schedule below:

                                                Monday – Friday

                                    Breakfast:  7:30 am   --  8:30 am

                                   Lunch:      11:30 am  --  12:30 pm

NO SCHOOL Sept. 21st, School Pictures, and Mid-Quarter Grades

September 17, 2020

School will not be in session on Monday, September 21st due to teacher training/inservice.

Thursday, September 24th is Picture Day!  Photographs of Distance Learners will be taken 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the library for those who are interested.

Mid-quarter grades will be sent home on Friday, September 25th.  Parents of Distance Learning students may view their child/ren's grades online through the Parent Portal or may pick up progress reports from the school.

Spring Fling

March 12, 2020

Koshkonong PTO's annual Spring Fling was held on Thursday, March 12th from 5:30-8:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  A delicious pulled pork meal was followed by the auctioning of themed baskets.  Baskets were donated by classes and clubs at Koshkonong Schools as well as community businesses and organizations.  Thanks to auctioneer Todd Hornback and all who participated for a successful event!

KHS Varsity Girls District Runners-Up

February 27, 2020

The Lady Jays received 2nd place honors in the 2019-20 District Basketball Tournament.  Congratulations Jade Bell, Sharee Gastineau, Tyra Gee, Lorna Howell, Megan Maffei, Britney Russell, Callie Sturgeon, Lynsey Wiggs, Coach Ballard and Coach York.  Lady Jays - We are PROUD OF YOU!

KHS Varsity Girls All-District Players

February 27, 2020

Tyra Gee, Lorna Howell, Megan Maffei, Britney Russell, and Callie Sturgeon received All-District Honors for their varsity basketball play this year.  Congratulations ladies!

FBLA Events

February 28, 2020

MOVIE NIGHT - FBLA hosted a second Movie Night event in the school gym on Friday, February 28th.  Along with the movie and concessions, there were door prizes, silent auction items, and a raffle.  Thanks to all who participated in this event!

PURSEPALOOZA - The 1st Annual Pursepalooza  was held last December in the school library.  New and gently used purses and wallets along with a variety of other new and unique gift  items were available for purchase. Congratulations to Kaden Osgood - winner of the 55" Smart TV!



Megan Maffei Receives All-Tournament Honors

January 24, 2020

​As a result of her impressive play, Megan Maffein was selected as a member of the All-Tournament Team for the Cabool Classic.    The basketball tournament was held January 20-24, 2020.  Congratulations Megan!!

New FCCLA Region 9 Representative

Maylee Summers was selected based on a speech she prepared and delivered.  CONGRATULATIONS Maylee - FCCLA Region 9 Representative!.

Daniel Howell Retirement

December 20, 2019

Daniel Howell began his career at Koshkonong schools as a part-time bus driver.  In his  31 years of employment, Mr. Howell served in a variety of roles.  He retired as maintenance director at the school.   Congratulations Daniel!  Enjoy your well deserved retirement.

Callie Sturgeon Receives All-Tournament Team Honors

Due to her outstanding performance, Callie Sturgeon was chosen as a member of the All-Tournament Team for the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament.    The tournament was held December 23-28, 2019.  Congratulations Callie!!

KHS Cross Country Members State Bound

November 19, 2019

Eavan Gardner and Lynsey Wiggs qualified for state cross country competition.  Lynsey placed 6th and Eavan placed 3rd in their divisions at district competition.  Both athletes participated in the MSHSAA State Cross Country competition on November 19, 2019.  At the state level Eavan placed 61st and Lynsey placed 39th.  Congratulations Lynsey and Eavan!

FCCLA Events

January 01, 2020

Christmas Dinner - FCCLA hosted it's annual Christmas Dinner on December 12, 2020.  More than 200 people attended.  Thanks to all who joined us!

Fall Leadership Conference - October 27-28.  Members attended meetings and learned about upcoming FCCLA events.
