The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is pleased to announce the Close the Gap Grant program. DESE is working with the vendor Odyssey to administer this program. This is a one-time grant of up to $1,500 for parents to use for allowable educational expenses for their K-12 public school district and charter school students. Applications will be open from September 20 through October 25, 2023. After applications have been submitted, they will be reviewed for eligibility criteria. If approved, and dependent upon available funds, grant funds will be added to the parent’s Odyssey account. The allocated amount can then be used for allowable educational services and products within the Odyssey Marketplace or for reimbursement of allowable costs.
