National School Counseling Week 2025, "School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive," sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), will be celebrated from February 3-7, 2025, to focus public attention on the unique contributionof school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. Homecoming has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 8, at 5:00, as your Bluejays and Lady Jays face the Couch Indians and Lady Indians. Homecoming attendants, candidates, and escorts need to meet in the library for pictures at 4:30pm and the crowning will begin at 5:00. The concession stand will be in full force to take care of our supper needs and proceeds go to the Junior Class to support Prom.

Homecoming Spirit Week
Great day for our Bluejay FBLA at the District 14 Leadership Conference!! Students participated in leadership and personal finance workshops throughout the morning and the afternoon concluded with the awards ceremony. Derrik Villavicencio placed 4th in both Accounting I and II. He will compete at state in April. Trendon Gardner placed 4th in Business Communications and Introduction to Business Concepts, 2nd in Introduction to Information Technology. He will compete at state in April. Congratulations to not only our winners, but all of those in attendance today and a special shout out to freshman Elayna Erickson for stepping up and participating in public speaking!!

This week was Cupcake Wars for Foods, International Foods, and FACS. Students had 3 days to make cupcakes, frosting, and decorate. 1st hour group made Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting. Second hour had 3 groups that made Strawberry with Cream Cheese Frosting, Oreo Cupcakes with Oreo Frosting, and Peanut Butter Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting. The 4th hour group made Smores Cupcakes. The WINNERS due to a tie: Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting by Alyssa Williams and Emma Hos. Peanut Butter Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting by Audrinna Roberts and Alex Hernandez. The winners will get a free lunch from Mrs. Wyatt. Congrats and thank you to our judges.
