Open House for the Oregon-Howell R-III School District will be held on Thursday, August 15th, from 6:00-7:30pm. Students are encouraged to come meet their teachers and tour the campus. The faculty and staff is excited to welcome our Bluejays back to school!! #bluejaynation

Lady Jays Volleyball will be back in the gym for the 2024 season starting Tuesday-Friday from 9:00-11:00am each day for team camp. Practice schedule for the month is posted below. Athletes must have a current physical to participate.

Oregon-Howell R-III School District has received the results from our state testing for the 2023-2024 school year. This includes both MAP and EOC assessments. Students will receive their reports the first week of school.

DESE’s 63rd Annual Cooperative Conference for School Administrators wrapped up this morning. Closing session included remarks from Governor Mike Parson, our own Deputy Commissioner Kari Monsees, and Commissioner Karla Eslinger! New student registration at Oregon-Howell R-III will be held on August 7th and 8th from 8:30am-2:30pm each day. Students entering Pre-K to 8th grade are asked to come August 7th and incoming high school students on August 8th. Don't forget our Back to School Fair will also be held on August 8th from 5:30-7:30pm. Open House for all students and parents will be on August 15th from 6:00-7:30pm. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this time for families to meet teachers and staff as well as familiarize yourselves with the campus. Final Lady Jays Volleyball Open Gyms for the summer are July 2, 9, and 16 from 6-8pm. Official practice starts August 6th, 8:00-11:00am (9th-12th grade) and you MUST have a current physical complete and turned in to practice. Season calendars were passed out to players before school ended in May, but if you need one, Coach Mills will have them at open gym. Once school starts we will practice Tuesday and Thursday after school until til 5:00 (WP bus will run) and morning practices on Wednesdays and Fridays 6:30-7:30am. Please plan accordingly. The Oregon-Howell R-III School District is accepting applications for a Middle School Language Arts Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. REMINDER: CAMP STARTS TOMORROW
Lady Jay Volleyball is pleased to announce Coach Val Jackson will be returning to help us with camp again this year!! Camp will be Tuesday, May 14, through Thursday, May 16. The cost of the 3-Day camp is only $25 and can be paid the first day of camp. Summer school will be in session and all campers are welcome to have breakfast and lunch each day free of charge in the cafeteria. Grades 4-6 will be from 9:00-11:30am Grades 7-12 will be from 12:00pm-2:30. Grade level is based on student's grade for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

The Oregon-Howell RIII School District has applied with the MDHSS to provide free meals to children from age 1 to 18 beginning May 14, 2024, and concluding June 7, 2024.
Children do not have to be enrolled in summer school to take advantage of the free meals.
Site location is the Oregon-Howell RIII School cafeteria.
Meal serving schedule is:
Monday – Friday
Breakfast: 7:30 am – 8:30 am
Lunch 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
